England squander their chance to top Group C. The Englishmen were booed for the draw against Algeria.
England performed astonishlingly well in their qualifier matches, but haven’t been able to perform in the World Cup finals. They put up an even worse performance than USA match.

England coach- Capello said:
“We missed a lot of balls, easy passes, a lot of counter of the ball. We have to play another game and we hope we will be happier. I don’t know if it’s pressure, or not a good moment, but I think it was not a good game because we lost too many balls, we lost too many passes. I think it was not the same team that I know.”

After a 4-0 win over Australia, Germany lose to Serbia.
Germany started the game off really well, controlling possession and having quite a few shots on goal.
The match seemed to be a highly contested one with a whole lot of free kicks and cards on display. Germany’s Miroslav Klose earned a red card in the 37th minute for a tackle from behind. Minutes later Serbia scored. However, that did not dent the spirit of the young German side. They played good football and tried their best to get back into the game.

Germany were awarded a penalty after Vidic handled the ball in the box. Lukas Podolski stepped over to equalise, but only managed a weak shot which was saved by the Serbian keeper.
The Germans will face Ghana at Soccer City on June 23.

The United States made a dramatic comeback from two goals down at halftime to draw 2-2 with Slovenia and rescue their World Cup chances on Friday.
Slovenia took a 2-0 lead before the break through Valter Birsa in the 13th minute and Zlatan Ljubijankic in the 42nd.
However, Landon Donovan scored an awesome goal three minutes after the break and Michael Bradley, son of coach Bob Bradley, grabbed an equaliser eight minutes from time.
