Argentine club- Estudiantes reached the Club World Cup Finals beating an eight-man South Korean side – Pohang Steelers 2-1.
The Argetine side will now face European Champions Barcelona in the finals.
Leonardo Benitez’s double strike secured a win for the Los Pincharratas. They played with a home advantage, with their supporters urging them on.
The AFC Champions had a horrid game with three players being sent-off, including captain Hwang Jae-won and goalkeeper Shin Hwa-yong, in the second half. The Asian side pulled one back through their Brazilian forward-Denilson, who later took over as goalkeeper!
Pohang’s Brazilian coach Sergio Farias told a news conference:
“We could have achieved more in this competition, but football gives us situations that are very bitter and this today was the case.”
